FEBRUARY FUN, NEWS AND EVENTS HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR FEBRUARY "FLASHDANCE" E-NEWSLETTER:

The first week of the Month (1st-7th) is Discount Tuition Week and our next "Bring a Friend" and "Try a Class" Week:  Come join the fun!  A friendly "Bang for your Buck" reminder:  Any East Dance Studios' student can attend any class within their age group this week!  It's a great way to experience the fun of extra dance classes while getting great tuition value. 

 
5-10-15 & 20 Year Awards:  PARENTS: It's time to sign up your child/ren to receive their Anniversary Awards for the end of the season.  Please do so by e-mailing us at (info@eastdancestudios.com) by March 1st with how you want your child's name to appear on their trophy, and what  Anniversary year they are celebrating with us.  Parents must sign their children up for this complementary service in order for their children to receive their award.  This is especially important since Identity Protection Measures have been put in place in our office.  All e-registrations are automatically erased at the end of each season, and hard copy documents are shredded resulting in us implementing  this honor system of trophy sign up.
Seniors, 10 Year, 15 Year, & 20 Year Students: Please contact us in class for this year's recital plans.

Ordering Annual T-Shirts:  It's time to place orders (to be delivered in April/May)  To order this year's special 21st Season Design: please  send in a check with your child's name and size in the memo by March 15th.  Shirts will be $25.00 each and are available in Child S-M-L & Adult S-M-L (and 1X or 2X for $3.00 more/ $28.00).  Due to shirt order minimums, there will be only one order.  Every year we have parents who say: "Oh I wish I ordered one"...so don't delay!  Order today!  :)

Signing up to Chaperone at the Recital:  VIPs' (Very Important People: Moms, Aunties, Grandmothers) are needed to chaperone our dancing stars of all ages back stage.  If you are interested in becoming a Chaperone (requirements are an annual Chaperone meeting, the dress rehearsal/s and the recital), or if you are concerned about leaving your child at the rehearsal(s)/recital please sign up today by e-mailing us .  For much more information, please see your Student/Parent Policy Handbook or feel free to contact us.  There will be an Annual Chaperone Meeting on Saturday, April 14th at 3:00 at our Winchendon Studio.

February (20th-25th): MA Feb. Vacation Week: The studios will be closed Monday, Feb. 20th through Saturday, Feb. 25th.  This is the perfect week to reach out to your friends and family to find out how many Recital Tickets you'll need to order.  Remember, all seats are "Reserved Seating" and our standard on-line ticket ordering will go live April 1st.  Our Recital Ticket Ordering System is by far one of our most popular services, and a ticket e-newsletter to provide you information about it will follow.

Videoing Dance Class Material: Recital choreography may taped in dance class as an educational practicing tool for our students (typically youth age and up).  Parents, please reiterate our polices with your child that no public, Internet/social site posting is allowed of the material whatsoever.  Students who wish not to be taped within the dance class may of course excuse themselves during the brief periods of class when recording is allowed.  It is up to the parent to give permission to their children to bring in a camera or not. Please factor that we cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items when making your decision.  The public event of our annual dance recital is professionally recorded and DVD's will be available for purchase by (our very popular video production co.) Pixelle-Media, and clips may be posted on our website under "recital rewind" for all to enjoy!

DISNEY  DANCERS "Save the dates!":  Our first Dance The World Rehearsal to begin learning  the "Magic Kingdom Parade" and the "Hollywood Studios Performance" will be Saturday, March 24th at our Ashburnham studio from 12:15 until 1:30 and will meet again at the same times on Saturday, March 31st and Saturday, April 7th.  Additional June dates will follow and are expected to be on Monday afternoons in June at our Ashburnham Studio.

Mark Your Calendars for June & July Summer Programs and Events:   After a nice two week break after the Recital, East Dance Studios will be open in June (until school lets out) offering a specialty schedule of tried and true Student DANCE FAVORITES and our new, popular: ACRO PROGRAM.  Please put your name on our INTEREST LIST by e-mailing us, so that we may begin our planning of days and times that meet our students' needs.
 
In June: East Dance Studios invites our Dancers and Acro students to come and be a part of Winchendon's Summer Solstice Parade!  We've been asked to "save the date" of Saturday, June 16th.  More details will follow on this fun and free community event.
In July:  Everyone loves the Circus!  And it's coming to down at this year's Clark/YMCA Dance Camp! We will also be running the CLARK/YMCA annual Dance Camp for Pre-Schoolers and ages 5 through 'Tween'.  Dance and Acro will be featured at this year's dance camp whose theme is "The Circus!".  Fun-Fun-Fun!  Day campers ages 5 & up also enjoy swim time!  To register for the last full week of July YMCA Dance Camp: Call the YMCA at 978.297.0869.  There is also a Pre-School Dance Camp that meets at the YMCA from Tuesday to Friday of that week from 2:00-2:30 daily that will feature Dance & Acro Circus themed fun (without the swim time).  Come join the fun!  Prices are simply incredible:  ranging from the $20.00's to $75.00 (depending on membership status at the YMCA) for the entire week!
